Frozen
I like these endurance-test movies, and this was a pretty good one. It's a simple plot. Three college students talk a ski-lift operator into one more ride up the mountain and through a series of contrivances they get trapped 25 feet up in the air with the resort closed for the next five days. The good: the acting and dialogue is pretty sharp, and it's nicely filmed and scored. The not so good: I needed a little more strategy from the protagonists about how to get out of their predicament. It's never good when the audience can come up with ideas that they don't try. In the picture is Emma Bell, who was the film's standout as the unplucky heroine.
